Congress planned to address the Medicare/TRICARE doctor payment and therapy cap problems as part of national health reform. But health reform is now in limbo, and those two fixes can't wait.

Medicare and TRICARE payments to doctors will be cut a devastating 21% as of March 1, 2010. And Medicare payments for speech, physical and occupational therapy have been capped at $1,860 a year, as of January 1, 2010. Unless Congress acts quickly, many doctors will stop seeing Medicare/TRICARE patients and stroke/accident victims will hit the therapy cap.
